Through counter-ritual gestures, Romina De Novellis — a performer, researcher, and anthropologist with Mediterranean roots, yet long based in Paris — disrupts the binary and patriarchal frameworks ingrained in contemporary thought.

Architetture Terrone reimagines space — its geography and territory — within the context of a stigmatized culture, traditionally rooted in the land. The exhibition focuses on fragile and ephemeral structures that in the artist’s performances become visual and cognitive tools for rethinking the South and the oppression of genders.

By means of an eco-feminist perspective, Romina De Novellis advocates for a non-binary reimagining of space that fosters a free identity affirmation.

Par des gestes contre-rituels, Romina De Novellis, performeuse, chercheuse et anthropologue d’origine méditerranéenne, pourtant installée depuis longtemps à Paris, bouleverse les cadres binaires et patriarcaux ancrés dans la pensée contemporaine.

Architetture Terrone réimagine l’espace – sa géographie et son territoire – dans le contexte d’une culture stigmatisée, traditionnellement ancrée dans la terre. L’exposition se concentre sur des structures fragiles et éphémères qui, dans les performances de l’artiste, deviennent des outils visuels et cognitifs pour repenser le Sud et l’oppression des genres.
