Twyla Tharp (Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement) is the legendary American choreographer who throughout her sixty-year career has passed through eras and styles making history along the way. Twyla Tharp is nothing short of a phenomenon. Her revolutionary contributions to the global dance ecology are unrivalled by her work that combines rigour and play, classical discipline, and ballet technique with modern dance and natural movements, as well as radically innovative choreography for stage and film. Twyla Tharp is one of the most important choreographers alive.

Twyla Tharp (Lion d'or pour l'ensemble de sa carrière) est la légendaire chorégraphe américaine qui, tout au long de ses soixante ans de carrière, a traversé les époques et les styles, marquant l'histoire. Twyla Tharp n'est rien de moins qu'un phénomène. Ses contributions révolutionnaires à l'écologie mondiale de la danse sont inégalées par son travail qui combine rigueur et jeu, discipline classique et technique de ballet avec la danse moderne et les mouvements naturels, ainsi qu'une chorégraphie radicalement innovante pour la scène et le cinéma. Twyla Tharp est l'une des chorégraphes vivantes les plus importantes.

Carolina Bianchi (Silver Lion) is the Brazilian performer, author and director, who centres her work on the radical experience of the body. In 2023, Bianchi premiered the first chapter of her trilogy with A Noiva e o Boa Noite Cinderela (The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella), delving into the profound horrors of sexist violence, akin to a descent into the deepest realms of hell, immersing us in a space where memories intertwine and become indistinct. Bianchi employs her own body as a central element of her work, firmly rooting herself in the tradition of female performance while simultaneously critiquing it. As she evolves her sensationalist trilogy of works, Bianchi remains at the cutting edge of radical performance, reminding us of the essential need for such uncompromising new artistic voices. 

Carolina Bianchi (Lion d'Argent) est une performeuse, auteure et réalisatrice brésilienne qui centre son travail sur l'expérience radicale du corps. En 2023, Bianchi a présenté en première le premier chapitre de sa trilogie avec A Noiva e o Boa Noite Cinderela (La Mariée et la Bonne Nuit Cendrillon), qui explore les horreurs profondes de la violence sexiste, telle une descente aux profondeurs de l'enfer, nous plongeant dans un espace où les souvenirs s'entremêlent et deviennent indistincts. Bianchi utilise son propre corps comme élément central de son travail, s'enracinant fermement dans la tradition de la performance féminine tout en la critiquant simultanément. Alors qu'elle fait évoluer sa trilogie sensationnaliste d'œuvres, Bianchi reste à la pointe de la performance radicale, nous rappelant le besoin essentiel de nouvelles voix artistiques sans compromis.
